PRIM&R's 2018 IACUC Conference

For over 40 years, PRIM&R has hosted educational events where professionals gather to learn, deconstruct, discuss, and debate issues related to animal care and use, research ethics, and oversight, and to network with colleagues in the field. The 2018 Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee Conference (IACUC18) will bring together 600 professionals from state and federal government, industry, and academia. The conference will include keynote addresses, panels, and breakout sessions designed to help build and strengthen effective animal care and use programs, and will provide a forum for professionals to exchange ideas about their work and programs, discuss best practices, and work through the challenging issues that can arise when using animal models in research. The conference features programming for those new to the field, as well as professionals with many years of experience. During this three day meeting, attendees will learn about ethical issues and the federal regulations governing animal care and use, best practices for the review and monitoring of research that includes animals, and other timely and late-breaking topics.
