JAX Workshop on Stereotaxic Surgery in Lab Mouse

This three-day intensive hands-on workshop is for those wishing to obtain training in the use of stereotaxic surgical techniques for brain manipulation. During this one-of-a-kind workshop on mouse stereotaxic surgery, participants will learn how to: use different types of stereotaxic devices, read a Vernier scale, read a brain atlas and define bregma. Hands-on laboratory sessions with your own stereotaxic equipment include animal positioning on the stereotaxic device, intracranial drilling, intracranial injections, CSF collection, brain cannulation into the lateral ventricle as well as bi-lateral brain cannulation.
