We're excited to announce the 2018 AZAALAS Summer Fun Event June 24th at Bearizona Wildlife Park - print and post the flyer
Register by 5pm on June 18th to be included - Sign me and my family/guests up to attend
Bearizona is approximately 160 acres. Visitors drive through more than three miles of Ponderosa Pine Forest viewing North American animals in natural habitats when they visit. More animals are exhibited in Fort Bearizona, a beautiful 20 acre walk-thru area, along winding paths which is more of a "zoo" type setting. Visitors are allowed to enjoy the park at their own pace and should allow approximately three hours for the entire Bearizona adventure. Many of our guests stay even longer.
Conveniently located in the heart of Northern Arizona, and nestled amongst the beautiful Kaibab National Forest, Williams is considered the gateway to the Grand Canyon. Williams’ central location allows visitors to stay and experience Northern Arizona’s beautiful sights and activities. Bearizona is one hour south of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim, 30 minutes west of Flagstaff, and three hours southeast of Las Vegas, NV.
AZAALAS will have a special Jaguar presentation and our own Wild Ride Bus Tour (1pm) included in our group rate
Dont Miss the Keeper Chats - See an animal up-close and talk to an animal keeper about how that species lives in the wild, what it eats, how it fits in the ecosystem, and more.
Although in most cases only the keeper touches the animals, this is an opportunity to see individual animals up close. Visitors can also watch as keepers provide enrichment and work one on one with Bearizona animals in training sessions at set times throughout the day.
Current Keeper Chat & Shows Schedule:
Bird of Prey Shows: Come face to face with hawks, owls, falcons and other raptors. Programs include "on the fist", training demonstrations and dramatic "free flight" shows, all with a narrative on natural history, conservation and interesting facts while entertaining audiences of all ages. Times: 11am, 1pm and 3pm
Bearizona is sensitive to the needs of the animals involved, so we cannot guarantee a particular animal will be presented on a given day at a set time. If the animal being presented gives signs of stress, the presentation may be ended.
Most vehicles can drive through Bearizona’s well-maintained gravel roads. Each vehicle must be completely enclosed and have operational windows. Guests arriving by motorcycle or bicycle can take the Wild Ride Bus Tour that departs from Fort Bearizona multiple times throughout the day.
Visitors will be asked to remove any items that may protrude from their vehicle including bicycles, motorized scooters, luggage, coolers, wheel covers, etc. Bearizona provides a spot at the entrance for you to leave these items during your visit, or will have you park your vehicle and hop on the Wild Ride Bus Tour.
Directions to Bearizona: Bearizona is located at the intersection of I-40 and US Hwy 64 (Historic Route 66) in Williams, AZ. - 58 miles south of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon – 25 miles West of Flagstaff, AZ.
